It used to be built on dreams
Now thats hard to believe in
Do we know what life means
In the flashing neon region
Where no street is the same
You know nobody elses name
Money is just a game
The casinos don't feel the strain
Shining lights and spotlights
Whatever time it may be
Gamblers don't know about the age of austerity
When will their greed cease
Foundations cemented with wealth and glamour
Pleases those who need a break
Added alcohol fuels the night
That you won't remember when you wake
Where has all the love gone
In this city torn apart
The people lost to work and party
When did Las Vegas lose its heart
Destroying a modern gem
The truth hurts with reason
Especially when it's falling around you
The death of a neon region.
